leads us to destroy ourselves. This is the third possibility. Life appears and
in some cases develops into intelligent beings, but when it reaches a stage of sending radio signals, it will also have the technology to make nuclear bombs and other weapons of
mass destruction. It will, therefore, be in danger of destroying itself before long.
Let's hope this is not the reason we have not heard from anyone. Personally, I favor the second
possibility that primitive life is relatively common, but that intelligent life is very rare. Some would say it has yet to occur on Earth....

The clock next to the bed struck 7.23am. 7 hours into his sleep, Otto Malphanese arose from his trance. Immediately, he knew that something was terribly wrong. Squinting at the clock with his foggy vision, he saw that he was an hour ahead of schedule.

Clutching his abdomen, he sat up trying to sense the impending doom. When he realised what it was, he laid back down, thinking that the best way to avoid this disaster was to go back to sleep.

The silence in the dawn continued as he fidget around, unable to reenter the dreamy state. The urges in him began to grow more and more prominent.

Recalling his past experiences, he staggered out of bed still holding on to his stomach as he couldn't hold on to the actual site of discomfort.

Otto opened the first drawer on this cupboard and pulled out a red plastic bag, hoping that it would hold firm. He wondered how this could have sneaked up on him as he swallowed a pill hoping the placebo would help. He knew what he was facing and it wasn't his first time. The only difference was that he was alone.

Shutting his eyes and concentrating hard, he entered his organic superbrain and saw a myrid of lights flashing non-stop, trying to correct the negative feedback.

The placebo didn't work and he prepared himself mentally for the worst. Still resting, he tapped his stomach like how it was always treated but knew that executing it on oneself wouldn't yield any result.

Red light blared in his mind, sirens sound though mentally, the muscles in his gut suddenly began to contract furiously. Simply holding up the red plastic bag to his mouth, he spewed gastric. 'Oh well, at least I am recycling' he thought.

Give and take a little, this would be a real event;D

Guy Fawkes Night a.k.a. play-with-fire Night

5th of November has been truly a dull and a routine Wednesday, except that it is BONFIRE NIGHT!!! It marks the foiling of the Gunpowder Plot of the 5th of November, 1605 by Guy Fawkes and friends who were attempting to blow up the House of Parliament in London. Celebrations this year are held on Midsummer Common in the evening.

By half past seven, crowds had gathered in the field, commentators blasting through their loudspeaker, kids walking around lost… Everything was set to go, with everyone bracing themselves for the show. Lights, camera and BANG! With the night sky as their canvas and gunpowder as their paint, the ‘artists’ initiated the celebration with a display of bright-coloured sparks, bangs and smoke. The fireworks display was nothing less than spectacular, with green swirly sparks, red sparks in shapes of hearts and the rain of lights flying towards us. Smoke in the air and the resounding bangs certainly contributed to the festive mood. And then came the lighting of the Bonfire which was much less captivating than the ‘lights in the sky’.

There was much to do in the fair. For thrill-seekers, there were rides with their dazzling lights. For fun-seekers, there were game stations with prizes to be won. For food-seekers, refreshment booths like the Thailand food stall has to be a god-send. Much of the crowded dispersed after the fireworks display but it was good to know that I have witnessed:

Sometimes, i wonder why i am writing all of this...when hardly anyone reads. Haha this is hilarious!! I heard of a customer who wanted to tip a service crew in this particular sushi restaurant and created this commotion:

the story begins with the customer asking the service crew how does tipping works in the restaurant..

they always say 'it's the thought that counts'. But can thoughts be counted at all?? The person who can count thoughts clearly enough is the person him/herself. Counting thoughts shown through actions is just too vague though it gives a veryvery general view of the thoughts one can have. Often, it just shows just a face of the person. Ultimately, it is not only the thoughts that counts, but also the way the thoughts are being translated to actions. Sadly, no matter how well-intentioned your thoughts can be, or how well-executed your actions based on your thoughts, there is bound to be a gap in communication where misunderstandings can happen or the reaction to that action is totally unexpected. Such is the beauty of the river.

When was the last time you learnt a new skill...haha i picked my first lock today;D haha i am so going to try picking other locks when i see them..hmmm hope this method work for most locks. its really cool..imagine being in a building full of locked doors and you are the person who holds the skill to unlock them!! haha..all i did was fiddle with a tiny lock which isnt much but i hope to pick up more advance skills..hehe here comes me, the Lock-picker!!

HI all!! Autumn's here and its starting to get colder. *shivers* I really don't dig the weather here..One cold and windy day, I am wearing only a tee-shirt and a sweater (and that is seriously not enough) and on a warmer day like today, i wear a tee-shirt, long sleeve shirt and a jacket. hasslehasslehassle. yup and the leaves are changing forms!!

Yo to all!!

There is a very interesting experiment people around the world should take note of!! It's happening now and could be a breakthrough for science or breakdown of the world ( can't deny that possiblity). Scientists are building a Large Hadron Collider which is really large.

Apparently, they claim that they are trying to recreate the conditions just a billionth of a second after the BIg Bang. So there might be micro-blackholes and other tinytiny particles. They are trying to find something called Higgs Boson (just another tinytiny particle i guess) too. Imagine the possiblities! Alternate dimensions might be discovered! New matter maybe found! But...there is risk of course, regardless of what people might say. So don't be too suprised if you find yourself being sucked into a black hole sometime later this year. I warned you!

went camping in Peak District for the weekend with 3 other adventurous folks(Stan，胡哥and Rain). It was a really fruitful experience to camp out in the wild, with strong winds and heavy rain so now i know what to expect for future expeditions. The teachers were supportive but were doubtful of us being able to go out there and camp out carrying all our barangbarang. Furthermore, we had very basic equipment: no cooking stove, no walking boots, no waterproof clothing that is seriously waterproof, just 1 sleeping mat, borrowed sleeping bags and tents, wet and soggy shoes, etc.. As usual to help lighten our load, I opted out for using a sleeping bag and did not regret it, 'cause we kept to our schedule with our planned route..but it was cold!! no!.that was an understatement. It was just like the frozen meat in your freezer! think switching on the aircon at full blast and then splashing a bucket of water on yourself.. The first night, I slept at about 12+ and froze awoke at 3+am. ha so bring a sleeping bag for most camping trips!!ha To speed things up, i shall show you rather than tell..

Have you sat on a swing recently?? Probably not eh? I realised sitting swings can calm down a person's mind, making one feel peaceful and relaxed. Once you get into that state, you will have the notion of sitting on that swing forever and hopeful never get down. The feeling of going up and rushing down through the air is golden, likely to be the same feeling as gulping down the first mouthful of water after a long run, breathing after a 100m sprint, or even taking your first hop after 1 month of not dancing. It is essential letting your mind having a more-than-well deserved breath after it is put through near daily strain and possibly torture. So when was the last time you sat on the swing??

I have done some deep recollection and reflection and I found out something extremely meaningful. It is yet another wonder of the human mind...

Wafi, OCY, Sebestian, Stanley, Brenda, Bell, Bear, Jonathan, Sky, Jeremy, Kah Yan, Jeffery, Victor, John, Smelly Green Bean, PLH, Yvonne L.,Joanne C.,etc.. These are just a few names that may stay in my mind forever. Needless to say, there are loads more names deep down in the depths of the Deep Ocean of 3 Under. Some of them are from L.H., some from p.H., some are Saints, some are idiots, some are ‘好朋友’ and some are inspirations. Thinking back and considering why I remembered them, I now know that people who made you enjoy life just a little bit more will own a piece of your mind, even if it is a tiny bit. I wonder where on earth are they now? How are they doing? What has become of them? 'Friends Forever!' Sounds familiar? How many people actually treat it seriously? Not many I suppose, in this cruel, cruel world. Not even I can say I did.

Almost two decades! Not much compared to perhaps 50 years(about half life) some people might say. But shut your eyes, relax your mind and think back, go through all the memories you had since the beginning of your consciousness till now...came a long way din't you? Are most of these memories alone or with people?? Most probably with people isn't it? Are these precious? Every single flash of it? Even some bad memories are to be missed.

Time will not wait. It is like a river flowing alongside Life. Each drop from this river flowing past brings a new memory. Memories often buried in the Deep Ocean of 3 Under. They are treasures in each and everyone of us. I wondoer how many people would still be consciously aware they still have this treasure that can never be stolen from them? Try it, savour it and then let it flow...

hi all!

It has been some time. Hmm time flies but people don't.. ah..i must say it isn't an easy task to pull up your roots and then try transplanting yourself onto foreign ground. New friends, new environment, new status, etc..the difficult part is just over where i just sink my roots a little into the ground here when another difficult chapter begins where others grow and fight for growth but not only that. There are manymany factors involved. it's all connected somehow but so complexly that even not i can fathom it entirely..hmm. Well, that's that. The river still has to flow doesn't it? Oh..i just realised something recently as i pondered over why am i feeling so bored..'Life is only as interesting as the person who lives it' so there you are, your absolute guide to an interesting or some may say a 'happening' life..oh and i need your help in a question i am stumped with.If you were to gain a superpower, which would you choose? "Imagination" or "Willpower"? Please leave your answers in the tag. All answers will be dealt with confidentially.

Hello there! just playing around with this. i was touring the place when i rerealized something important that i have forgotten. The thing that made me recollect was a book, Nineteen Minutes. or rather the story. anyone read it before?? hmmm it is a very well written story as i am sure anyone who has been through life in a community can relate to it..Picoult's books are all so Life-ly..zzzzz..read the book to discover what i discovered:)..it's worth it, trust me. Come to think of it, reading fictions are a form of meditation. anyone else find that true? i dont know but for me, it seems so..well next time when you are reading a book, live through the book dont read it plainly..you may learn alot more this way..do tell me the difference in living and reading through if you have tried it..okay di will just say i am crapping..haha..fun reading this post?? does it feel more exciting reading tiny fonts? i shld think so..

Freezing and Thawing

Has the chicken in your freezer ever invited you over for a sleepover? Well, mine has. It's cold over here..but dont worry. At the very least, i won't grow mouldy and smell bad after a year or so eh?
To illustrate how does it feel like, you guys close your eyes, imagine a scene in some action movie where some bad guy aims a flamethrower at the good guy and turn the switch on. Now step into that good guy's shoes and allow your world of imagination to turn upside down. Freezing isn't it...
To top it off, the chicken shown me how it feels like to thaw...and refreeze and thaw and rerefreeze...hmm it is as if i am a meat that can't be finished..
